MilacekTech is a new, one-person consultancy for data engineering, business intelligence, and cloud data strategy. What's not new is the experience behind it — 20+ years inside large organizations, doing this work rather than advising on it from outside. I use tools I've run in production for years, not whatever's trending this quarter, because I'm the one who has to support what I build.

What I'm Not
I'm not the cheapest option, and I'm not chasing the newest framework. MilacekTech itself is new — I only recently left corporate life to do this on my own — but the work isn't new to me. I aim for solutions that still make sense to maintain three years from now, and I'd rather say no to a project than take on something outside what I actually know well.A Narrow Focus

20+ years at DHL, ČSOB Bank (KBC Group), and a handful of other large employers — as staff, not as a visiting consultant. That's where the judgment calls come from.
Built to Be Maintained
I try to leave systems in a state where someone else — or future me — can actually understand and run them. Airflow, PostgreSQL, MS Fabric/Power BI, dbt.
